I was pleasantly surprised when Koplin Del Rio Gallery contacted me earlier this year about inclusion in an upcoming exhibition- Photographs 2020, their first photography exhibition. The possibility of hanging with other Washington photographers  I respect was great. Certainly Marsha Burns has been a friend and mentor for years, even becoming a client I’d print for. I was even happier with what they selected from my submissions, two more recent pieces I feel stronger and more contemporary than work that has been seen over the years. Then of course Covid-19 came along and literally days after I delivered the work the city locked down. Now of course we have significant issues bigger than our personal individual aspirations requiring attention. So, everything got postponed indefinitely, but now I’m pleased to see it going forward and happy the work will be shown, and in such great company, even if appointment only. The show is up until July 18, 2020, and to be safe, by appointment only from Wednesday – Saturday until further notice.
