These two are extremely different, and extremely similar, though neither would probably want to admit it! Paul says he’s on the wrong planet, Bill “exists on a plane elsewhere and visits occasionally when pressed”… yet somehow they resonate with me so much more than anything of the contemporary “norm”. Analysis undermines..

Bill- “The only thing one can do is really look at the damn things. It’s just not making much sense to talk about them”

Paul- “bla bla bla. too much noise”

   Well, I guess we have known for some time that photographs are their own language. Indeed, images are their own language. Images have their own sort of literacy.
